Satonda is a small volcanic island off the northern coast of Sumbawa, roughly 300 kilometres east of Bali. Its collapsed crater has filled over millennia into a calm, naturally sheltered inland lake — a harbour no engineering could replicate.
The lake is home to living stromatolites: organisms roughly 3.5 billion years old, among the earliest life forms on the planet. They survive in only five places on Earth. Satonda is one of them.
The island sits at the edge of the Coral Triangle — the richest concentration of marine biodiversity anywhere in the world.

Elysium began with a dive trip to Satonda in 2017. In the years since, across publishing, hospitality, and finance in Southeast Asia, Psymon Peers built the regional relationships, government engagement, and commercial understanding that underpin the project today.
Elysium is led as a founder-driven platform — long-term by design.
A community, not a customer base.
Rather than open to the public, Elysium is building a permanent community of three hundred people — the Founding 300 — chosen personally by the founder for their alignment with what the project represents.
Membership is not for sale and is not applied for. It is extended by invitation, at the founder's discretion, as the project develops.
